 Rosewood | Rosewood derives its name from its fragrance when cut. It is a densely grained, stable timber with fine acoustic qualities, making it perfect for musical instruments. Rosewood varies in colour from pale gold to deep red. |  Mango wood | Mango wood is a fast growing, densely grained, tropical wood, pale in colour, reminiscent of maple. It turns well, is stable and has excellent acoustic properties. |
| Our drum skins are hand selected, fully treated and blemish free goatskin of the highest quality. These goatskins have a long life, tension well and produce excellent tone throughout the range. The lacing is chosen for its strength and non-stretch properties. Our Djembes are cross-laced and knotted in the traditional manner over steel rims and on all drums over 8" have a convenient woven carrying handle.
